The Georgia Strategic Prevention System (GASPS) data warehouse is an innovative online repository containing information on behavioral health issues such as Substance Abuse Prevention, its consequences, and related social indicators. The warehouse is a one stop shop for gathering state and county level data related to the behavioral health issues of Substance Abuse Prevention (Coming Soon Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Promotion specific data).
The GASPS data warehouse has been developed by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities’ (DBHDD) Office of Behavioral Health Prevention and The University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government. DBHDD is the state agency that provides treatment and support services to people with behavioral health challenges and addictive diseases, and assists individuals who live with developmental disabilities.
The GASPS data warehouse contains traditional data reports and spread sheets, as well as data that is presented in what is commonly referred to as “data s” (charts, graphs, and maps that provide visual pictures of the data).
